Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Thankette (the "App"), operated by Thankette LLC ("Thankette," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. What Thankette Does
Thankette helps you draft and send thank-you notes based on gifts and events you log. Notes can be sent via text message (using your own device's messaging app) or mailed as a physical card through our fulfillment service for a fee.
3. Accounts
You must create an account with a valid email address to use Thankette. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Thankettes, Purchases, and Subscriptions
"Thankettes" are credits used within the App to generate thank-you note drafts. New accounts receive a starting balance of free Thankettes. Additional Thankettes may be purchased individually ("Party Refill") or accessed on an unlimited basis through an annual subscription ("Annual Unlimited"), as described on our pricing page.
Mailing a physical card is a separate purchase from Thankettes and is charged individually per card, regardless of your Thankette balance or subscription status, except where a promotional allotment (such as a founding member perk) applies.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Annual Unlimited subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting hello@thankette.com.
5. Refunds
Thankette purchases (Party Refill, Annual Unlimited) are generally non-refundable once Thankettes have been used to generate a draft. If you believe you were charged in error, contact hello@thankette.com and we will review your request in good faith.
Physical card orders that have not yet entered production may be cancelled and refunded. Once a card has been printed or mailed, it cannot be refunded.
6. AI-Generated Content
Thankette uses artificial intelligence (via Anthropic's Claude models) to generate draft thank-you notes based on the information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any draft before it is sent or mailed. Thankette does not guarantee the accuracy, tone, or appropriateness of AI-generated content, and you send or mail all content at your own discretion.
7. Physical Card Mailing
When you use the Mail a Card feature, you authorize Thankette and its fulfillment partners to print and mail a physical card to the recipient address you provide. Delivery timeframes are estimates only (typically 1-2 business days to process plus 3-7 business days for delivery) and are not guaranteed. Thankette is not responsible for delays, losses, or errors caused by postal carriers.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Thankette to send harassing, abusive, illegal, or fraudulent content, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its underlying systems.
9. Availability
Thankette is currently available to customers located in the United States. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Thankette is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated drafts will meet your expectations.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thankette LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to issues with AI-generated content, mail delivery delays, or third-party service interruptions.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
