1. Who We Are
Thankette LLC ("Thankette," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Thankette mobile web application (the "App") and thankette.com (the "Site"), which help users draft and send thank-you notes via text message or physical mailed cards.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account information: your name and email address when you create a Thankette account.
Gift and event information: the names of gift-givers, gift descriptions, event details, and the thank-you note drafts you create, edit, and send.
Mailing information: if you use the "Mail a Card" feature, we collect the recipient's name and mailing address solely to fulfill and mail your physical card order.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Thankette does not store your credit card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Usage information: basic technical data such as device type and app usage patterns, used to maintain and improve the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Generate AI-drafted thank-you notes based on the gift and giver information you provide
• Fulfill physical card mailing orders, including printing and shipping your card to the address you provide
• Process payments for Thankette purchases and subscriptions via Stripe
• Send you account-related communications (such as email verification and order confirmations)
• Maintain, secure, and improve the App
4. How We Handle Mailing Addresses
When you use the Mail a Card feature, you provide us with a recipient name and mailing address. This information is used exclusively to fulfill that specific card order — to print, address, and mail your card. We do not sell, rent, or share recipient mailing addresses with third parties for marketing purposes. Mailing addresses are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill and provide support for your order, and are handled according to standard data security practices.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
Thankette relies on the following third-party providers to operate the App. Each has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data:
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-generated thank-you note drafting
• Supabase / Lovable Cloud — application data storage and hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Card fulfillment partners — printing and mailing of physical cards (provider may change over time as we scale)
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted data storage and access controls that ensure your account data is only accessible to you. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You may access, edit, or delete your account information at any time by contacting hello@thankette.com. You may also request deletion of your Thankette account and associated data at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Thankette is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Thankette is designed for use by parents and adults managing gift-giving and thank-you note communications, including on behalf of their children.
9. Availability
Thankette is currently available to customers located in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
